A 5 mile warm up before the fun run today. For the first fun of the year, not too bad I guess. I had some good challengers this year. I passed a couple of kids and an adult in the first mile and when I passed the decided they were going to keep up with me.  And no matter what speed I was running they were keeping up. Then around mile 2 one of the kids said “gosh,” like he was really tired and was having trouble keeping up. That was when the adult passed me and one of the kids was able to get some distance on me. It was around 2oo meters toward the end of the race the kid I was trying to catch up with took a wrong turn and I was following him, then when he realized he made the wrong turn, so did I.  So I took off in the right direction and so did he. He was able to catch up with me and we were sprinting it out in the end.  But at the end of the race people were walking in front of the finish like not even looking for people to come in and I yelled “coming through” and they kept walking and I yelled it again the one of them realized that I was talking to them and stopped, they did not move they just stopped so I had to go around them. I am a little upset over that one. But I pushed harder and the kid pushed harder and somehow he won. The clock time said that I had 20:50.10 and he got 20:50.00. And my time said 20:35.87, crazy. But it was fun..
