I was trying to finish off the week with 40 miles. My pace was 8:00 with a 0.5 incline. I am also thinking about running 60 next week, but i am not sure because my Saucony keeps giving my left foot blisters. So anyway that is the plan, thanks for reading and have a great day!!

Hi Barry,

It might be better for you to ramp up your mileage a little more slowly - since you have had some unfortunate incidents. The "general" rule is 10%/week - though often it does not have to be this strict if you aren't injury prone. Which would mean your build up at this stage might be 45-50 and then 50-55 and then hit 60. I am very conservative myself, and would stay at each one of those mileage ranges for a week or two before moving up.

In my experience, mileage targets are often not as healthy as thinking about how you are feeling and how much time you are your feet/week or day. But, as I said, I am pretty cautious (I don't like to miss any running because of injuries) - I would rather run lower mileage and not get hurt.

Good luck, Merry Christmas.

That is an awesome idea. I think i am injury prone. I really appreciate your comment and thank you very much! So i should run between 45 to 50 miles next, then see how i feel if i move up or not. Also, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!!
